Here's a link to the video, I believe this is either the Real Live version or a similar version from the same tour."Tangled Up in Blue" is a song by Bob Dylan. So what do you guys think of this version? Is it your favorite rendition of Dylan's masterpiece? I'm not saying it's necessary better than the album version, but I find this version to be just as brilliant and fascinating. He also gives it a new melody (it's not that different during the verses but the pre chorus and chorus are very different). The lyrical changes are fairly major, changing up nearly 1/4 of the song's lyrics (maybe more). His delivery is passionate and urgent, surprising to me for an 80s live performance from Dylan. This version brings out so much emotion and draws you closer in to the story. I decided to pull out my old 80s CD of the album that I hadn't touched since I got it and hear this version of the song. I recently discovered that Dylan himself said multiple times that the version of "Tangled up in Blue" on Real Live, his often panned 80s live album, is the definitive version of the song.
